The tAG initiative also introduce a sustainability program for all our enrolled beneficiaries as a pathway out of poverty. This pathway is called ADOPTION OF A FAMILY. The idea was to allow government agencies, corporate organizations and donors have that sense of belonging in the actual course of ending poverty and hunger by having direct access to these poor vulnerable households in the country.
However, for this to function properly we decided that having a seamless process of continuity after these poor vulnerable households are enrolled on to the platform is to make adoption of a family as part of the key focus area in mitigating poverty and hunger.
The benefits of the initiative is for government agencies, corporate organizations and donors the opportunity to monitor the progress of each of the beneficiary enrolled on to the program and understand how positively their contribution is making an impact in the lives of these poor vulnerable households. A person or organization who adopts a family would have to commit the following:
1. Paying $1/day i.e $30/month (N12,000)
2. Provide cash stimulus to package and deliver food, medical and sanitary items to their beneficiaries $20 (N8,000)
Total cost of adoption is $50/month (N20,000)
Finally, the adoptive government agency, corporate organizations or donors are issued a certificate of adoption upon successful fulfillment of the palliatives after 6 months of $50 per month payment to these poor vulnerable households.
